Doll Fei for Eliminating Avoidable Blindness

Sale price Price £25.00 Regular price

Doll Character

Fei is from Chengdu in China.  She was born prematurely and became visually impaired during infancy.

Her white guiding cane helps her travel around by herself.  She likes to go to the beach when she moved to Hong Kong, because she likes the texture of sand under her feet and the feel of the sea breeze on her face and hair.

Role Model

Her role model is MBE Lucy Ching Man Fai (程文輝) (1936-2011). Though she was also born with blindness in China in the 1930s, with the care and support from her maid, she studied hard and became the first blind social worker in Hong Kong.
